Webgrity presents itself as a company that provides mentorship and
learning opportunities for junior developers. However, based on my
personal experience and publicly available records, the reality is
quite different.
Lack of Mentorship
Despite claims of mentorship, employees are expected to figure out
coding tasks entirely on their own, using online resources like
Google. There is no structured guidance, code review, or learning
support provided.
Low Compensation
The company offers salaries that do not align with its public
claims about revenue or scale. For example, junior developers are
offered low monthly pay, which does not reflect the inflated
revenue figures sometimes cited online.
Exaggerated Claims
The CEO frequently boasts about being a "top CEO" or a "top
taxpayer," but official records show that Webgrity is registered
as a micro-enterprise under MSME, with limited employees (~80) and
modest revenue. The company is not among Kolkata's top IT firms,
nor is it located in major IT hubs like Salt Lake Sector V.
Long-Term Bonds
Employees are asked to sign long-term bonds (e.g., 2.6 years),
despite minimal support, mentorship, or competitive compensation.
This seems designed to retain staff without proper investment in
their growth.
Conclusion
While Webgrity may survive as a small freelance-driven agency, the
public image of mentorship, high revenue, and top-tier status does
not match the day-to-day reality. Prospective employees should be
aware that the environment is highly ego-driven, and self-learning
is expected without meaningful guidance.

My Personal Experience
This Webgrity review is based primarily on my direct interactions
with Webgrity CEO Amit Keshan during my training period at
Webgrity. The Webgrity CEO demonstrated unprofessional
communication patterns and lacks basic workplace courtesy.
